Peking Wonderland
In this project, I explored a new “Cognition–Data–Design” workflow that integrates NLP techniques and AI generative tools. By engaging with the characteristics of the digital era, the project translates urban spatial experiences into a series of art installation designs.
Over 400 social media posts related to the urban imagery of Beijing were collected, from which 100 sets of images and texts were selected for analysis. Through this process, four major thematic categories reflecting public attention were identified. Key elements associated with each theme were extracted and synthesized into playground l installations that align with cognitive characteristics.
These installations were placed along the Beijing Central Axis, carefully matched to locations whose genius loci resonated with the corresponding themes. Through new behavior, the project reconstructs urban experiences. By revisiting fragments of the past from a new perspective, the work responds to collective memory while simultaneously generating new urban landscapes.
