Color Scramble

A Spacial Cognitive Educational Games with Robot Envolve

Color Scramble is a two-player board game where players take turns placing colored blocks to maximize their color’s contiguous-surface in three-dimensional space. A key feature of the game is that the addition of a robotic arm NPC blurs the competitive relationship between players. Each round consists of three matches, during which the robotic arm NPC strategically places blocks on the board according to different principles to assist players. User testing revealed that the inclusion of robotic arm interaction enhanced both the game’s competitiveness and its appeal. The robot, as an interactive agent, provided feedback that broke down the difficulty of achieving the final goal, keeping players constantly engaged with the dynamic changes in contiguous surfaces. The progressive level design encouraged participants to think critically and improved their spatial cognition.

We used a completely random design to study the specific effects, three levels of "state" of the robotic arm  -  “order” of their appearance, a total of 6 combination 3 experimental groups +1 completely neutral group, 12 rounds of the game
